Bonjour! A Weekend in the City of Lights

Paris is a stunning city. I had the fortune of going to Paris twice. Once was a day-trip from London the first time I traveled to Europe. The second time was  four days over an extended weekend. Paris is an easy two-hour Tube ride out of London via the Chunnel (English Channel Tunnel). Four days  was plenty of time to take in all the beautiful sights, sounds, and smells of Paris. My days were spent in and out of sidewalk cafes, crepe stands, seeing Paris from the swaying tippy-top of the Eiffel Tower, traveling to Montmarte to visit Sacre-Couer, visiting the numerous museums and cathedrals around the city, walking along the River Seine, and window shopping with friends. Paris really is one of those places everyone needs to visit at least once. I have wonderful memories of my trips there, and I feel they are best portrayed through images, rather than words.  Enjoy!

[…] When I first visited London back in 2007, I was stunned by how easy it was to get to Paris. Two hours via Chunnel through the English Channel plops you right into Paris. Paris was a stunning city filled with art museums, cafes, and historic sites. You can read about my trip to Paris here.  […]ReplyCancel
