Eva’s Lens: Stay comfy, my friends

When getting ready for a trip, there are usually so many things to be conscious about. Double checking to make sure you have your passport or ID, making sure you don’t leave anything behind, remembering where you put your boarding pass. And then there are the days leading up to your trip; organizing your suitcase, making sure your house is tidy for when you get back, not forgetting last minute items. Travel can be stressful!

And I will be the first to admit, I am not the best packer. I tend to overpack or not know what to pack. I’m the kind of girl who I like to call a mood dresser (I dress for my mood not necessarily for the situation). And the last thing I want to worry about is my outfit. Or what clothes will fit my mood.

One thing I do know is that when I’m traveling I want to be comfortable. Bottom line. If I’m not comfortable lets be honest – it’s no fun. My go-to travel outfit consists of leggings, a casual t-shirt, and an oversized sweater or cardigan, with sneakers or slip-on shoes (depending on the season).

Some things I think about when packing is to pick out clothes that can be layered. For example shirts and cardigans that can be mixed and matched with leggings, shorts, or jeans (again, depending on the season). I try to leave out prints that I can’t wear many times, or a shirt that needs to be ironed. Because with these items, you’re likely to just wear it once and then give up on it.

Pack smart and make lists to keep your mind at ease and everything organized. If you take one idea with you when packing for your next trip… keep it simple, easy, and comfortable. At least I try to 🙂
