I will always remember nights out in London; they are special memories that I hold close. I remember spending hours at local pubs having a relaxed night and good conversations, dancing all night at clubs, or even enjoying a nice bottle of wine over a quiet dinner with a small group of friends. A few favorite pubs in particular were the small, dark hole-in-the-wall ones in Bloomsbury, but any pub will give you a cozy feeling.
A fun bar I remember well is Strawberry Moon, off of Regent street between Oxford and Piccadilly. It was a bar with a good dance floor and great music. A drink that became a quick favorite was Rekorderlig strawberry cider, a must try if you go to London! Right near Strawberry Moon is Icebar London, a 20° F cocktail bar where everything (the bar, chairs, tables, and glasses) are made of ice. Before entering, you are given a thermal cape, gloves, and a 40 minute time limit. It was quite the experience!
If you aren’t into the bar scene, there are so many alternatives. London has a big theatre district and many musicals and shows to see; I loved seeing Wicked and Billy Elliot. Going to a show is so enjoyable, takes your mind off the mundane, and gives you the chance to admire the talented performers. Another fun idea is to go bowling. My friends and I spent a night at All Star Lanes in Bloomsbury, an underground and retro boutique bowling alley. We shared many laughs there! These are just a few of the many fun things you can do to enjoy the nighttime in Londontown. What would be your first pick?
