Introducing: Worldly Wonders

 worldly-wonder

Travelers have many things in common, but one important quality I believe we all share is curiosity. Traveling opens our eyes to the unknown. The places we have always wondered about and dream of exploring. The term “wanderlust” has grown in popularity over recent years as our generation yearns to see and do as much as possible before our time is up. I came up with the name for this blog by spinning-off of that term. I have always had a deep curiosity in me about people, far-off places, and our universe.

I love to be lost in wonder–about why we are here and what else is out there. Whether we are opening doors, capturing moments, or offering advice and perspective on the places we have been, each post has something to do with being lost in the awe and wonder of our planet and the people and places that it holds.

True travelers have a desire to do more than see new things; we want to understand. So as a new way to explore our planet through curious eyes, I am going to post each week about a topic focusing on the  Earth. Rather than writing about cities, I will focus on the science behind things like the Northern Lights, space tourism, and the Grand Canyon. I am pursuing a career as an Earth Science teacher and have learned so much already about the wonders of our planet and universe. Traveling to cities and new destinations for the culture, food, and people is a joy all in itself, but I want to share my fascination with understanding and exploring the beauty and awe of our unique and incredibly special home: Planet Earth.

I will be back next Friday with my first topic for this new series. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
