Upcoming Travel Plans!

I am so excited that in a little over one week I will be flying to Peru! I have never traveled to South America before, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to explore a small piece of a new continent. This will definitely be one of the most adventurous trips I have ever taken, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you when I return.

Soon after getting back from Peru I will be gearing up to reunite with my darling friends in Charlotte, NC. We try to have a “London reunion” (we all studied abroad there together) every year or so, and I am glad we have kept in touch since graduating college. It’s not easy to do with our busy lives these days.

I was also recently accepted into the Global Citizenship Project program at my university. The purpose of the program is to educate us on a new culture and way of life to promote understanding and acceptance. It was an incredible honor to be awarded an all expenses paid trip to an unknown destination with fellow classmates and professors. I just found out they are sending us to Japan! I will be traveling with my group there in March, and I can’t wait to share my cultural experience in this country.

With the arrival of the holiday season I am sure you all have some exciting plans too — even it if it a “staycation!” I would love to hear about your plans, so please share them in the comment section below…

Cheers!

      Hi Marina,

How exciting! The Salkantay looks absolutely beautiful! My cousin and I almost booked that one! We will be staying in Cusco and exploring around there before and after we hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. I would be more than happy to let you know all my recommendations when I get back! Peru sounds so amazing! I am the culture will be fascinating and the landscapes will be beautiful. I am planning on going there eventually.
