Eva’s 2017 Adventures

Erin inspired me to take a look back into my 2017 and – wow – what a year it’s been! From many adventures in my home state, to all of the adventures while traveling, witnessing three of my best friends get married, and becoming a married lady myself, I have been filled with love and gratitude ending the year with a full heart.

January: Charlotte, NC

Like Erin mentioned in her recap, we started the year together in North Carolina spending some QT with our travel friends. We spent time at a French inspired cafe, took some walks in the snow and most of all enjoyed each other’s company. A perfect start to the year!

February: Portland, Maine & Summit, NJ

February was spent also enjoying my dear friends. I spent time in Portland, Maine for a birthday celebration and in Summit, New Jersey for a girls weekend. Sometimes quick weekend getaways are all you need to feel back with friendships with those dear to you who live far away.

April: Bluffton, South Carolina & NYC

In April I traveled to visit my family in South Carolina. My parents moved near Hilton Head a few years ago, and visiting in the early months of the year is always a goal, any reason to get out of cold New England weather is very enjoyable! My sweet friend Meg met me there and we had another girls weekend – good for the soul!

I also went to NYC this month to meet up with my French buddy Juliette. I had last seen her when I was in Paris in November of 2016. I met her in the city with Erin in order for us all to meet, since she has contributed to the blog so much! It was nice to bring friends together.

May: Sedona, Arizona & Block Island, Rhode Island

May was a jam-packed month for me- I visited Sedona to celebrate the marriage of friends, then to Block Island to celebrate another friends marriage, as well as had my own bridal shower!

Sedona was so magical. The beautiful red rocks really was a sight to see – one of the most beautiful landscapes I had seen in a long time. We planned a Pink Jeep Tour and it definitely took my breath away in more ways than one!

May marked the beginning of summer for me and many more wedding celebrations were in order… including mine!

June: Martha’s Vineyard

I kicked off June with a trip to Martha’s Vineyard with 9 of my best friends (who were also my bridesmaids) on my bachelorette trip. This one was a highlight for me, all of my worlds collided and it filled my heart to have all of my friends together in one room. I loved this weekend so much and am so thankful to have wonderful friends who traveled from near and far to join me.

July: Nashville, Tennessee & Newport, Rhode Island & Santorini, Greece & Amalfi Coast, Italy

Can you believe I fit Nashville, Newport, Santorini and Sorrento all into one month? Looking back, neither can I! So much traveling but it was all worth it. I started in Nashville to celebrate another bestie bride in her bachelorette party, then had some down time before heading to Newport for my wedding weekend. It was beyond words the most magical weekend! Before I knew it I was off on a plane to Santorini and after, Sorrento.

August: Cape Cod, Massachusetts

I had some down time over my birthday, so I spent it with my new husband (!) and our friends in Cape Cod. It was so nice to just relax on the beach and have a low key weekend away!

November: Asheville, North Carolina & Chicago, Illinois & Burlington, Vermont

November was filled with more adventure, as I went to North Carolina to visit family in the mountains of Asheville. We planned the weekend around eating at good restaurants – because that’s what one does!

December: Bluffton, South Carolina & York, Maine

December brings togetherness and holiday cheer. All month I was looking forward to seeing my family and dog for Christmas in South Carolina.

I topped off the month by spending some time between Christmas and New Years at our favorite little Inn in York, Maine. We have been 6 years in a row and I love it so much! Time to wind down and set intentions for the new year, sit by the fire, read, and reconnect from holiday chaos!

I’m not sure if much can top my 2017 – it really was one of the best yet. Here’s to 2018 and creating more memories, at home and abroad!
